‘Food First’ Approach to Better Nutrition

In his previous career as Physiotherapist, Barry Murphy (Managing Director) saw first-hand the detrimental impact that poor nutrition and reduced protein intake had on the effectiveness of the exercise plans and strength training he oversaw in hospitals and clinics.  Barry also noticed that the most popular food which patients opted for at mealtimes was ice cream, due to its inherently good taste and texture.  The idea of combining extra protein into the ice cream to make it a food of real nutritional value came from this experience.
